UFC 183: Anderson Silva Media Call (Full Audio)

The UFC held a media conference call for Anderson Silva on Friday to promote his upcoming fight with Nick Diaz at UFC 183 on January 31st and you can listen to it in full below.

During the call Silva said that his left leg is now “at 95% and improving” after being broken in a horrific injury at UFC 168 in December, and it’ll be 100% by the time he fights Diaz next year.

Silva currently has a titanium rod inserted into his leg and while many people opt to have it removed once their injury has healed, the former middleweight champion says he plans to keep it in place for his first fight back.

During the call insisted that he never had any thoughts of retiring after the injury and said that he can’t wait to step back into the Octagon.

“I’m just dying to return to the octagon and do the thing that I most love in my life, and that’s happening right now,” Silva said.
