UFC Fight Night 238 Bonus Awards

Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 238 event in Las Vegas the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

On this occasion Vinicius Oliveira in particular went home a happy man after winning two separate bonuses that helped him add an extra $100,000 to his bank account.

First he earned ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors alongside Bernardo Sopai for their back-and-forth bantamweight battle on the preliminary card. Sopai had his moments earlier in the fight, but as time went on it was Oliveira who was gaining momentum.

By late in the third round it looked like the judges would have to settle the score, but then with just 19 seconds of the fight left came the moment that Oliveira would also claim a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus as he unleashed a highlight-reel flying knee that knocked out Sopai.

Also taking home a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus was Steve Erceg, who impressed in his main card opening fight against Matt Schnell, getting off to a solid start with his composed striking and then brutally punishing his opponent for pressuring him early in the second round by landing a well placed left hook that sent Schnell crashing to the canvas for a KO finish.
