Following last night’s UFC On FOX 26 event in Winnepeg the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was a preliminary encounter between Julian Marquez and Darren Stewart.

In the first round there was some exciting exchanges on the feet, although Stewart was also able to land a numbeer of takedown as well. That came at a cost though as he began slow down and in the second round Marquez made him pay by locking in a guillotine choke to produce a submission finish.

If it hadn’t been for the fact that he wasn’t allowed to receive any bonus money due to missing weight, Josh Emmett’s particularly nasty knockout of Ricardo Lamas in the co-main event would surely have won a ‘Performance Of The Night’ award.

Instead, Nordine Taleb earned himself an extra $50,000 after he also produced a vicious KO in the prelims against Danny Roberts.

It all started when Taleb landed a head kick that sent Roberts reeling into the fence, following a by a big straight right that floored him and ground and pound to seal the knockout finish.

Also earning a performance bonus was Alessio Di Chirico, whose fight with Oluwale Bamgbose was relatively uneventful right up until the mid-way point of the second round when he suddenly landed a knee from the muay thai clinch that sent his opponent falling face-first onto the mat unconscious.
