Gable Steveson To Fight Sean Sharaf At UFC 331

Rising heavyweight star Gable Steveson’s second fight in the Octagon will be against Sean Sharaf at UFC 331 in Los Angeles on September 19th.

A former Olympic gold medal wrestler, there’s been a tremendous amount of hype surrounding the 26-year-old Steveson since he made a transition to MMA in September of last year.

Steveson swiftly won his first three fights on the regional scene by T(KO), as well as a 15 second KO victory in dirty boxing, before being signed by the UFC earlier this year.

Steveson went on to win his UFC debut in similar fashion, KO’ing Elisha Ellison mid-way through the first round at UFC 329 just last month, and now he’s ready to get right back to work.

Steveson will be going up against the 33-year-old Sharaf, who also joined the UFC earlier in his career after notching up four 1st round finishes on the regional scene.

However, Sharaf has struggled with the step up so far, having been TKO’d in both his UFC fights so far, so on paper this looks like a very favorable match-up for Steveson.

Steveson vs. Sharaf joins a UFC 331 card that will be headlined by a welterweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Ian Garry, while Arman Tsarukyan vs. Mauricio Ruffy serves as the co-main event.
