Dana White Says Joe Rogan Is Pushing Him To Make Jon Jones vs. Alex Pereira Fight

Dana White was initially not interested in a potential heavyweight fight between current champion Jon Jones and light-heavyweight kingpin Alex Pereira in the future, but he seems to be warming up to the idea thanks to UFC color commentator Joe Rogan.

“It’s a possibility, I mean, (Joe) Rogan is pushing me right now to try and make that fight,” White said on Shaq’s ‘Big’ podcast.

Even so, despite all Pereira’s success in kickboxing and having won two titles in the UFC, White still believes Jones is the baddest man on the planet.

“Guys, let me explain something to you, Jon Jones is a whole other level. I consider Jon Jones the greatest combat fighter of all time… Jon Jones is the nastiest dude ever in the history (of combat sports).

“Jon’s got a dark side to him, man, Jon’s got those dogs that’ll rip your arms apart and do all of that s***, he shoots guns. Jon Jones is a killer in every way that you can be a killer.”

Of course Jones has unfinished business with Stipe Miocic to take care of first anyway, with the current rumors suggesting that’ll take place in November in New York City, so if there is to be a clash of the titans of the heavyweight and light-heavyweight division at some stage then it won’t be until next year at the earliest.
