Following last night’s UFC 310 event the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
On this occasion four ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards were handed out, including main event winner Alexandre Pantoja, who successfully navigated past Kai Asakura’s dangerous knee strikes early in the fight as he applied pressure and eventually went on to secure a rear-naked choke submission finish in the 2nd round to retain his flyweight title.
Vicente Luque also earned a performance bonus after he made short work of Themba Gorimbo on the prelims, rocking him with a right hook early in the fight and then capitalizing by seizing on an anaconda choke submission finish just 53 seconds into the opening round.
Chase Hooper also had a quick night’s work after he got the better of grizzled veteran Clay Guida in the opening round, leading to an armbar submission at the 3.41min mark.
And also earning a first round stoppage and bonus award was Kennedy Nzechukwu who earned a TKO Victory just nine seconds before the end of the stanza thanks to a well-timed left hook.
