A heavyweight fight between Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Jailton Almeida has been set for UFC Fight Night 225 on May 13th at a destination still to be confirmed.
The 9th ranked Rozenstruik is coming off a 23 second TKO victory against Chris Daukaus last time out in December.
That brought the 34-year-old out of a two-fight losing slump against Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov and leaves him with an overall UFC record of 7-4 so far.
As for the 31-year-old Almeida, he entered into the UFC last year after a win on the Contender Series and had previously gone unbeaten on the regional circuit since 2018.
Almeida has been able to continue that form into the Octagon and has now logged four wins in a row, including a TKO victory over Shamil Abdurakhimov last month to take the No.14 spot on the heavyweight rankings.
Rozenstruik vs. Almeida joins a UFC Fight Night 225 card that is expected to be headlined by a light-heavyweight bout between Anthony Smith and Johnny Walker, while Matt Brown fights Court McGee and Jessica-Rose Clark faces Tainara Lisboa.
