Johnny Walker’s next fight will be against Bogdan Guskov at UFC 311 on January 18th, which at the time of writing doesn’t yet have a confirmed location.
The 34-year-old Walker seemed to be on shaky ground a few years ago when he went through a bad run of form, losing four of five fights, but he then appeared to turn things around with a three-fight winning streak.
However, things have taken a turn for the worse again in the past year, starting with a fight against Magomedov Ankalaev in October of last year that ended in a no-contest after he was left unable to continue due to an accidental knee strike.
Walker has gone on to suffer back-to-back KO losses in 2024, with the first coming in January in a rematch with Ankalaev, and then again in June against Volkan Oezdemir.
Now Walker will go up against the 32-year-old Guskov, who lost his UFC debut in September of last year, but has since gone on to win back-to-back fights via strikes this year, including a first round KO of Zac Pauga, followed by a TKO finish against Ryan Spann.
Walker vs. Guskov joins a UFC 311 card that doesn’t yet have a main event match-up, but will also include Jailton Almeida vs. Sergey Spivak.
