Following the UFC Fight Night 248 event in Macau, China the recipients of the $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

UFC officials opted to hand out four ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses this time around and Among them was Muslim Salikhov, who delivered one of the knockouts of the year when he landed a spinning wheel kick flush to the face of Song Kenan for a 1st round highlight-reel finish.

Gabriella Fernandes also took home a performance bonus after she rebelled against her massive underdog status by derailing Wang ‘Joker’ Cong’s hype train. Cong had looked in control of the fight for much of the first two rounds up until Fernandes caught her with a head kick and then dropped her to the canvas with a punch, before sinking in a rear-naked choke finish.

Also claiming a performance award was Zhang Mingyang, who once again demonstrated his thunderous power by TKO’ing Ozzy Diaz with an elbow strike midway through the opening round of the main card opener.

And the final performance bonus was handed to a jaw-dropping finish in the prelims courtesy of Ming She, who despite being much shorter than her opponent Xiaocan Feng, still somehow managed to launch a head kick early in the third round that landed cleanly to the neck and violently knocked out her opponent. Unfortunately Feng was left unconscious for several minutes afterwards and had to be taken from the Octagon in a stretcher and transported straight to hospital. Thankfully she has since passed her CT scan and has not injured her neck, but she hasn’t been fully cleared yet.
