Gilbert Yvel And Maurice Smith Claim Victories In Brutal Fashion At RFA 2 Event

There was some notable MMA action last night a the Resurrection Fighting Alliance 2 event which featured a selection of UFC veterans competing on the main card.

First up, former UFC heavyweight champion Maurice Smith made his comeback a the age of 50 and produced a fairytale ending when he landed a head kick KO in the third round against Jorge Cordoba.

Meanwhile, in the main event two heavy-handed strikers Gilbert Yvel and Houston Alexander squared off in match-up that was virtually guaranteed to end in brutal fashion.

And that is indeed what happened as Yvel staggered Alexander momentarily with a clipping counter left hook and then landed a flush straight right that sent ‘The Assassin’ to the canvas face first.

For Yvel that’s his second win in a row for RFA since leaving the UFC, while Alexander has now lost his last two fights, both by KO.
