Despite claims to the contrary from Frankie Edgar, his title rematch with Ben Henderson will take place at UFC 150 on August 11th after all.
As we reported yesterday, after ‘UFC On FOX 3’ on Saturday night Edgar stated he wouldn’t be able to fight on the August card as he required more time to heal from a broken nose, but it seems he’s now been persuaded to take the bout after all.
Dana White made the fight official on last night’s ‘UFC Tonight’ show on Fuel TV, ensuring that they will have a major fight to front the historic card.
It’s also good news for the division in general as it should mean that the next No.1 contender Nate Diaz doesn’t have to sit on the shelf quite as long before he gets the chance to fight the winner of Henderson Vs Edgar II.
