Junior Dos Santos Wants To Defend His Title In China

It’s not exactly clear when Junior Dos Santos will next defend his heavyweight title in a rematch with Cain Velasquez, but the Brazilian believes he’s found the perfect destination for it.

UFC president Dana White announced earlier this week that the promotion will be hosting their first event in Macou, China on November 10th and apparently that’s a destination that tickles ‘Cigano’s’ fancy.

“Maybe the heavyweight title would be a good debut for us in China. Right, Dana (White)?” Dos Santos enquired via his Twitter account.

It’s a nice idea, but unfortunately it looks like a no-goer as the UFC is currently planning a smaller scale ‘UFC On Fuel TV’ style event for their first visit to the region.

Dos Santos Vs Velasquez II had originally been planned for UFC 152 in September but the champion had indicated he wanted more time before making his next title defense. However, his interest in the Chinese show suggests that he is now going to be available to fight before the end of the year.
