Jon Jones recent deal with Nike is currently bearing it’s first fruit as the company’s been filming an MMA commercial this week with the light-heavyweight champion.
“Honored to be making history tomorrow. @nike will be filming their first ever #MMA commercial in different locations throughout Albuquerque,” Jones told his Twitter followers on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Anderson Silva’s manager Ed Soares says his fighter’s current deal with Nike has been expanded, meaning that it’s no longer just focused in Brazil, but is worldwide.
That’s the same deal that Jones is enjoying and it’s certainly a possibility that Silva may also end up starring in this new advert as well.
Either way, having a major player like Nike getting behind the sport in this way can only be a good thing.
