Junior Dos Santos Is The Next MMA Star To Sign With Nike

UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos has become the latest MMA fighter to sign an endorsement with world renowned sporting brand Nike.

By doing so the 28 year-old is following in the footsteps of the two other current UFC champions, middleweight title holder Anderson Silva and light-heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones who already have sponsorship deals with the brand.

‘Cigano’s’ rises to fame in the UFC, which currently sees him on a 10 fight winning streak, has coincided perfectly with the remarkable rise in popularity of MMA in Brazil, with his victory over Cain Velasquez to win the heavyweight title back in 2011 believed to have been watched by tens of millions of viewers in the country.

His impressive displays inside the Octagon have been matched with a likeable, ‘good guy’ persona outside of it which fans have taken too, and that makes him an ideal fighter for a major brand like Nike.
