Michael Bisping has claimed that Vitor Belfort got physical with him during a pre-fight press conference staredown for UFC On FX 7 earlier today in Brazil.
The presser wasn’t shown live here, but Bisping told his side of the story afterwards on his Twitter account.
“Vitor just chinned me at the press conference,” Bisping wrote. “He touched my face so I pushed it away and he put it back a little aggressively, then he started shouting,… who’s the hooligan now eh? Lol.
“I literally just laughed at him. As it was funny to see him lose his cool like that. ….. Feeling the pressure vitor?”
There’s been a bit of a war of words between the two fighters leading up to fight week with Belfort branding Bisping “a hooligan” while the Brit had stated that his adversary had “the body of a lion but the heart of a chicken.”
Days events have only ratcheted up the tension further and it’s probably just as well these two will be able to settle their differences in the cage in just a couple of days time.
