Roy Nelson, Phil Davis And Jim Miller Set To Fight At UFC 159

The UFC have unveiled three new fights that will take place at UFC 159 on April 27th, an event which we already know will be headlined by a light-heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen.

First up, Roy Nelson will go up against Cheick Kongo in a heavyweight match-up.   Nelson’s currently on a two-fight winning streak, while Kongo earned a victory over Shawn Jordan last time out.

Next, Phil Davis will face former TUF competitor Vinny Magalhaes.  Davis posted a 1-1 (1nc) record last year and will be eager to improve upon that, while BJJ ace Magalhaes will look to build on a win over Igor Pokrajac in what could well be his toughest test to date.

Last, but by no means least, Jim Miller will welcome former Strikeforce No.1 contender Pat Healy to the Octagon.  Miller’s eager to get back into the title reckoning after a ‘Fight Of The Night’ victory over Joe Lauzon last month got him back on track, while Healy will carry over a six-fight winning streak from his time in Strikeforce.

Overall this is a nice set of additions to the UFC 159 card and it’s good to see that the UFC aren’t just relying on the big Jones Vs Sonnen fight to sell this pay-per-view event.
