Bellator 88 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.
In the main event Alexander Shlemenko became Bellator’s new middleweight champion after he stopped Maiquel Falcao mid-way through the second round, landing a spinning back kick to the mid-section that dropped the Brazilian before a couple of ground and pound punches to the head delivered the KO.
Earlier in the evening Marlon Sandro squeezed past Akop Stepanyan by majority decision in an underwhelming performance to book his place in the semi-finals of the featherweight tournament.
He’ll be joined by Mike Richman who caught Mitch Jackson with a head kick late in the first round before finishing the fight with just three seconds left in the round via solid ground and pound, and Alexandre Bezerra who defeated Genair Da Silva with a quick first round armbar.
