Jon Jones And Daniel Cormier Continue Trash Talk After Brawl

Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier engaged in an all-out brawl at the UFC 178 media day just a couple of hours ago and even after the chaotic scenes they’ve continued to talk trash to each other online.

“Come on DC where was your takedown defense? I put you on your back in six seconds,” Jones taunted his rival on Twitter, though video footage seemed to suggest that Cormier had been tackled off the stage by security rather than Jones putting him there.

“I got some td def for you. Don’t ever put ur dirty face on me again,” Cormier responded, referring to the initial clash of heads that started the brawl.

“I won’t let another man get in my face and put his forehead against mine,” Cormier stated. “I will react every time. @JonnyBones next time I will slap you”

“Put some ice on that face DC, you got lots of interviews tomorrow,” Jones continued.

And the light-heavyweight champion couldn’t resist taking one last jab at his opponent.

“Lol those baby punches from the bottom, I really hope you have more prepared than that for when I take you down again”

“U hit like a bitch,”
Cormier informed him. “Better be kicking because I will eat ur punches all day. Ur a punk. I can’t wait to beat u up. My goodness.”

Jones also posted an Instagram video, seemingly soon after the confrontation, in which he mocked Cormier.

“Yo DC, you suck. You suck!” Jones said, grinning broadly. “You chopped me in the neck and got beat up, and I had you on your back…What! In like six seconds. You suck, you felt so weak.”

Incidentally, it should be noted that former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes, who nowadays is the UFC’s Vice President Of Athlete Development, warned both men that they’d be well advised to keep their mouths shut.

“@dc_mma @JonnyBones Chances are you 2 will not read this but what you’ve done is bad for the sport. I would stop talking about it,” Hughes wrote on Twitter.

Dana White wasn’t present for today’s incident, he actually just set off on a rare holiday.

“I just landed in Bora Bora for my first vacation in a while and it’s starting off perfect!!! @dc_mma and @JonnyBones” White wrote after word reached him about the fight.
