Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino has revealed in a statement that she is currently under contract with the UFC, though that doesn’t mean she’s going to be seen in the Octagon any time soon.
It’s since been officially confirmed that ‘Cyborg’ signed a conditional deal with the promotion at the end of February which requires her to prove that she can make the 135lb bantamweight limit before she gets to fight for the promotion.
‘Cyborg’ is currently Invicta FC’s featherweight champion and is currently preparing to defend her title at Invicta FC 13 in July. After that it’s expected that she’ll look to make the cut to 135lbs for another fight in that promotion, which airs on the UFC Fight Pass service, before the end of the year.
If that goes by without a hitch then that should finally pave the way for the 29 year-old to make her way to the UFC and set up a blockbuster match-up with Ronda Rousey.
Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta were cageside to watch ‘Cyborg’s’ ;ast title defense at Invicta FC 11 in which she took out Charmaine Tweet in just 46 seconds by TKO, and it’s likely the deal with the UFC was struck at that stage.

You know I have passed multiple test, including random testing- lets do Olympic random testing you and I- like Mayweather/Pacquiao- and one less excuse for you to hide behind – Lorenzo signed me- I’m back and coming for you – but you will either retire to movies or run to 125 like you ran from me at 145- you will never be the best until you fight the best- step up- it takes two to scrap- don’t be scared- the fans see me coming and you talking- have some respect for the fans- it’s embarrassing how you will go up in weight to fight Gina or Leila but not me- regardless I’m coming for you- make an effort instead of just hiding behind excuses – you may have 99 excuses not to fight me – but not being in the UFC ain’t one.”
