Ronda Rousey Meets Manny Pacquiao Ahead Of Floyd Mayweather Jr Fight

Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao took to his Twitter account yesterday to personally thanks Ronda Rousey for coming to visit him as his upcoming ‘Fight of The Century’ with Floyd Mayweather Jr looms large on the horizon.

Pacquiao has been supportive of Rousey in the past, even going as far as to claim on ESPN that the UFC woman’s bantamweight champion could beat Mayweather Jr in the Octagon.

For her part, when news of the Pacquiao Vs Mayeather fight first broke Rousey told the media that she’d pay any amount of money to get a ticket for the must-see boxing showdown.

That caught the attention of boxing promoter Bob Arum who, despite generally being a critic of MMA, claimed that he was a fan of Rousey and offered to give her a free ticket for the show – no small gesture given that tickets have been selling for thousands of dollars.

Rousey has also said recently that the idea of competing in a boxing match appeals to her, but don’t expect to see her in the ring anytime soon as she signed a new multi-fight deal with the UFC earlier this year and is set to fight Bethe Correia next at UFC 190 in Brazil on August 1st.
