Conor McGregor has issued a defiant statement on social media after tasting defeat for the first time in his UFC career against Nate Diaz on Saturday night at UFC 196.
In the post on Instagram McGregor lets the world know that he’s not going to change his outspoken ways just because a he lost a fight, reminds people that no other champion is accepting fights two weight classes higher than their own, and hints that he will fight Diaz again at some point in the future.
It’s also worth reiterating that at the post-fight press conference on Saturday night McGregor indicated that he’ll defend his featherweight title next, and still intends to compete at UFC 200 in July.
