Michael Chiesa Lands Analyst Role For UFC Fight Night 130

Former TUF winner Michael Chiesa has been chosen to be an in-studio analyst for this coming Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 130 event in Liverpool, England.

Chiesa will be behind the desk with Karyn Bryant, Michael Bisping and Jimmy Smith for the event and is looking forward to having the chance to give his thoughts on the big fights on the card, which is headlined by a welterweight clash between Darren Till and Stephen Thompson.

“I’m beyond excited for the opportunity to give my input and test my knowledge of the sport while sitting alongside my peers who have won world championships,” Chiesa wrote on Twitter. “People that know me know how much this means to me and is something I have wanted for a long time.”

Landing the role is a welcome boost for Chiesa, who experienced the disappointment of being forced out of the recent UFC 224 event in New York City due to suffering a cut to his forehead when Conor McGregor threw a steel dolly through the window of a fighter bus he was sitting in.

Prior to that the 30-year-old had lost by rear-naked choke against Kevin Lee back in the summer of 2017, bringing an end to a three-fight winning streak, but still holds down the No.9 spot in the division.
