Ketlen Vieira vs. Irene Aldana Set For UFC 245

Ketlen Vieira will try to get another step closer to bantamweight title contention when she goes up against Irene Aldana at UFC 245 in Las Vegas on December 14th.

Vieira is currently the No.2 contender in the division after extending her career record to 10-0 during a four-fight winning run in the UFC so far.

Along the way the Brazilian has picked up some high profile victories over the likes of Ashley Evans-Smith, Sara McMann and most recently Cat Zingano.

However, Vieira hasn’t fought since that fight back in March of last year after suffering a knee injury, so this will be an important fight for her if she wants to regain her momentum and push for a shot at the belt.

As for Aldana, She’s currently ranked No.8 in the division after winning four of her last five fights inside the Octagon.

That run started with a trio of victories against Talita Bernardo, Lucie Pudilova and Bethe Correia, before coming out on the wrong end of a split decision verdict against Raquel Pennington and then bouncing back with a win over Vanessa Melo last month.

Vieira vs. Aldana joins a UFC 245 card that’s set to be headlined by no less than three title fights, with welterweight champion kamaru Usman expected to headline against Colby Covington, while Max Holloway co-main events in a featherweight bout with Alexander Volkanovski and Amanda Nunes defends her bantamweight strap against Germaine de Randamie.
