UFC veteran heavyweight campaigner Andrei Arlovski will go up against rising talent Tom Aspinall at UFC Fight Night 185 on February 20th at a location still to be confirmed.
At 41-years-old, Arlovski is coming off back-to-back wins, having got the better of both Philipe Lins and Tanner Boser on the scorecards in 2020.
That leaves Arlovski having now won three of his last four fights, with his only defeat during that period coming via KO against Jairzinho Rozenstruik in 2019, but this doesn’t tell the full story as looking with a wider lens, those are his only three wins in his past eight Octagon outings.
Now Arlovski will go up against a 27-year-old prospect Aspinall out of the UK, who has made an immediate impact in the UFC with back-to-back first round TKO victories against Jake Collier and Alan Baudot.
Overall Aspinall wields a 9-2 record as he heads into what is undoubtedly the biggest challenge to date by far for the former Cage Warriors and BAMMA fighter.
Arlovski vs. Aspinall joins a UFC Fight Night 185 card that will be headlined by a recently rescheduled heavyweight clash between leading contenders Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis, while Ketlen Vieira vs. Yana Kunitskaya is also expected to feature on the main card.
