Marcin Tybura TKO’s Walt Harris In First Round At UFC Fight Night 189

Marcin Tybura managed to survive an early storm of offense from Walt Harris on the feet tonight at UFC fight Night 189 and then turned the screw by bringing him to the mat and beating him up with ground and pound for a late first round TKO finish.

Round One:

Body kick for Tybura. Harris throws the jab and there’s another body kick from Tybura.

Harris throws hard but misses. Harris with a kick upstairs that’s blocked. Now he lands a couple of big punches and appears to have hurt Tybura.

Harris throwing heavy leather against the cage and Tybura having to cover up and try to survive. Tybura trying to find a takedown without success.

Harris unleashing more offense against the cage. He wants a finish, but has to be mindful of his cardio too, so he resets.

Tybura driving forward into a takedown attempt, but can’t quite get it. he does get into the clinch against the cage though and slows the action down.

They separate and as Harris looks to go on the offensive, Tybura catches a kick and sweeps his other leg out to bring him down.

This is exactly where Tybura wants to be, and as Harris goes to his knees he works to his back. He stays patient and then starts to blast Harris with repeated punches. Harris not really doing anything to stop these punches and as more land he starts to get flattened out.

Tybura continues to work ground and pound and the ref decides he’s seen enough and moves in to end the fight, handing Tybura a first round TKO victory at 4.06mins.
