One of the UFC’s most active fighters, Andre Fialho will be making a quick trip back to the Octagon to fight Jake Matthews at UFC 275 on June 11th in Singapore.
Fialho only joined the UFC in January, but he’s already had three fights in the Octagon, starting with a unanimous decision loss to Michel Pereira at UFC 270.
Then in mid- April, Fialho made a statement with a first round TKO stoppage of Miguel Baeza and just three weeks later returned to the Octagon to deliver a first round knockout of Cameron VanCamp.
Not content to rest on his laurels, Fialho went backstage that night and told Dana White that he wanted to fight again soon, and White has gladly obliged with another bout that’ll come just one month later.
This time Fialho will be going up against a seasoned campaigner in the 27-year-old Matthews, who is coming off a submission loss to Sean Brady over a year ago.
Before that Matthews had been on a three-fight winning streak though, earning decision wins over Rostem Akman, Emil Meek and Diego Sanchez.
Fialho vs. Matthews joins a UFC 275 card that will be headlined by light-heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka, while in the co-main event flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko fights Taila Santos.
