Conor McGregor Mocks Jorge Masvidal After Call-Out And Steroids Accusation

Jorge Masvidal has called out Conor McGregor while simultaneously accusing him of taking steroids in a new interview, prompting a response from the former double-champion.

“He is false. He knows that I am a man who hits hard and that I come to kill. I do not come to hug in the cage,” Masvidal said of McGregor in an interview with ESPN Deportes. “I am going to give everything inside me to kill him. I have a little size, although now he’s shooting up and putting steroids and all kinds of things (in his body), but he is still a little boy.

“… I would love to fight at 170 pounds, but I don’t wait for anyone. If he wants to do it, I’ll break his face. If he doesn’t want to do it, let someone come next.”

McGregor opted not to directly address Masvidal’s interest in fighting him, or tackle the subject of steroids, instead opting to just mock Masvidal in a since-deleted social media post.

“An absolute pigeon brain this guy is,” McGregor wrote on Twitter. “Stupid beyond belief.”

“This pea brain is the biggest fight of your life,” Masvidal retaliated. “So you’re either too scared or too stupid to get this check.”

Despite Masvidal’s interest in the fight and attempts to get under McGregor’s skin, it’s worth remembering that when Dana White was asked about a potential fight between the two several months ago he poured cold water on the idea, suggesting that Masvidal was too big for him and that ‘The Notorious’ didn’t belong at 170lbs.

However, since then McGregor has made it clear that he does intend to compete at welterweight after bulking up while rehabbing his broken leg and was even calling for an immediate title shot against current divisional kingpin Kamaru Usman.
