Bellator 233 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.
In the main event of the evening, John Salter managed to best up-and-coming prospect Costello van Steenis on the scorecards.
Salter was able to use his wrestling and experience to win the first two rounds, but Van Steenis, who had won his previous four fights in Bellator had him in trouble in the final round after he landed a big punch and a flying kick.
however, Salter dug deep and managed to secure another takedown to survive until the end of the round and pick up a unanimous decision victory (29-28 x3), his seventh win in eight fights for Bellator.
Meanwhile, in what he’d made clear beforehand was his retirement bout, Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal quickly regretted his decision to return to the cage when he was KO’d by Andrew Kapel in just 82 second, catching the veteran by suprise when he landed the knockout punch despite having had his left caught.
