Alex Oliveira Submits KJ Noons In First Round At UFC Fight Night 67

Alex Oliveira made short work of KJ Noons tonight at UFC Fight Night 67, working a number of takedowns before sinking in the rear-naked choke finish.

Round One:

Noons out quickly and takes the center of the cage. Oliveira cuffs his head with a punch though. Noons with a right hand.

Leg kick for Oliveira. Noons with a hook and Oliveira stumbles to the mat for a moment, perhaps just off-balance more than anything else.

Short right hook for Noons. Oliveira charges forward with a flurry of punches, but nothing much landing there. He tries to come in again and still lacking that accuracy.

They get in close and get into a scramble with Oliveira getting to Noons back and looking to take him down. He hoists him up and gets the fight to the mat. Noons stands though, but Oliveira still on his back and takes him for another ridem muscling him to the mat.

Noons right back up, but Oliveira keeps working and has him down again. This time he has his hooks in and gets the arm under the neck for the rear-naked choke and forces the tapout.

A nice win for Oliveira then while Noons looks despondent at that result.
