Alistair Overeem To Fight The Winner Of Junior Dos Santos Vs Cain Velasquez II

Junior Dos Santos Vs Cain Velasquez II is set as the heavyweight title main event for UFC 155 on December 29th and we now know for sure who the winner will face next.

Following last night’s UFC 153 event in Brazil, UFC president Dana White confirmed that Alistair Overeem will be next in line for the title shot.

Overeem is currently serving a nine month suspension after being found to have elevated levels of testosterone in the build-up to his originally planned fight with JDS earlier this year.

At the time White was furious with Overeem, but the Dutch fighter has since visited him to apologize personally and assure him that it won’t happen again, and that appears to have done the trick.

White now believes that barring injuries the fight will take place in March or April of 2013.
