Carlos Condit Now Fights Johny Hendricks At UFC 158

Well that didn’t take long. Earlier today it was announced that Rory MacDonald had pulled out of his UFC 158 rematch with Carlos Condit, and now the UFC have moved swiftly to announce his replacement.

The UFC originally offered the fight with Condit to Strikeforce’s last 170lb champion Tarec Saffiedine, but he turned the offer down.

So, the promotion have instead elected to shift their existing UFC 158 fight card around and Condit will now fight Johny Hendricks who had originally been scheduled to fight Jake Ellenbergerat the show.

Ellenberger is expected to remain on the card, but an opponent has yet to be found for him.

Condit Vs Hendricks is a fight that certainly makes sense with the former being the welterweight division’s most recent title challengers, while the latter is believed by many to be the current No.1 contender.
