Carlos Prates delivered his fourth KO finish in a row in the main event of UFC Fight Night 247 against Neil Magny.

Round One:

The welterweight main event is underway in Las Vegas.

Glancing low kick for Magny. Magny in on a single-leg, but Prates defends it and then even manages to work a takedown of his own.

Right hand for Prates in Magny’s guard. Prates tries to back up, but Magny keeps him down. Prates then does manage to successfully back out and return to striking range.

Magny closes the distance and clinches up against the cage. Magny working on a single-leg, but unable to get his opponent down for now. He continues to try to work for this, but Prates hops on one leg and stays up.

Prates finally breaks away from Magny and returns to the center of the Octagon. Now Prates starting to stalk his opponent and shrugs off a takedown from Magny.

Magny bounces off the cage and tries to catch Prates off-guard with a punch, but that fails miserably as a counter elbow from Prates drops him.

Magny back up. Prates staying patient as Magny tries to shake off the cobwebs. Brief clinch. Prates pressing forward as Magny backs up and tries to keep him at bay with his jab.

Prates into range regardless and a glancing punch lands to Magny’s temple with enough power to knock him out cold at 4.50mins of the opening round!

The impressive Prates has now won all four of his UFC fights to date by knockout, and Magny is certainly his biggest scalp so far.
