Cat Zingano has gone through a terrible time over the past year due to serious knee injuries, surgeries and the death of her husband, but there’s no doubting she’s a fighter at heart as she’s still got her sights set on getting the title shot she’s earned against current champion Ronda Rousey.
In a new interview on the latest edition of AXS TV’s ‘Inside MMA’ show, Zingano confirms that she’s back training now and is open to the idea of fighting Rousey in the summer if that’s what the UFC wants.
So far the promotion hasn’t announced what’s next in store for their current champion, though color commentator Joe Rogan recently stated that they are set to make a big announcement soon.
