Charles Oliveira vs. Diego Lopes BMF Title Fight Headlines UFC 335

A BMF title fight between current champion Charles Oliveira and Diego Lopes will headline UFC 335 on December 12th in Las Vegas.

There had been rumors that Sean Strickland’s middleweight title defense against Nassourdine Imavov might headline the card, but it seems that’s no longer on the cards for 2026 and so the UFC is pushing ahead with this BMF title clash instead.

The 36-year-old Oliveira won the symbolic belt back in March with a unanimous decision victory over Max Holloway.

That was former lightweight champion Oliveria’s 2nd win in a row, having also beaten Mateusz Gamrot by submission last year, leaving him ranked No.3 in the division.

As for the 31-year-old Lopes, he’s no stranger to title shots as he’s fought twice for the featherweight title in the past 18 months, but came up short on the scorecards on both occasions against Alexander Volkanovski.

However, he’s also beaten the likes of Steve Garcia, Jean Silva and Brian Ortega to continue to remain a major player, and is now looking to test himself up at lightweight.

Oliveira vs. Lopes fronts the final numbered event of 2026, which will also feature a heavyweight co-main event between Alex Pereira and Sergei Pavlovich, alongside the likes of Bo Nickal vs. Joe Pyfer and Brandon Moreno vs. Charles Johnson.
