Chris Weidman Reported To Have Lost His Home To Hurricane Sandy

New York native and UFC middleweight contender Chris Weidman’s home is reported to have been badly damaged due to the savage force of nature that is Hurricane Sandy.

On Monday Weidman informed his fans on Twitter that he was evacuating his wife and kids from his home on Long Island, NJ, but had opted to stay behind himself to look after his property.

Later on Facebook he posted an update saying that he had cut down a tree that was leaning on his house, but indicated that the worst might still be to come.

“Wind is nuts right now. Flooding is gonna be a big problem around 8.”

He stopped providing updates soon after that, but today another UFC star Ryan Bader delivered the sad news that the Weidman’s family home hadn’t survived the night.

“Thoughts go out to @ChrisWeidmanUFC & his family,” Bader wrote on his Twitter accont. “Lost his home in the storm on the east coast. Please show him your support.”
