The UFC have signed experienced WMMA fighter Cindy Dandois and she’ll head straight into a fight with Alexis Davis at UFC Fight Night 108 in Nashville on April 22nd.
The 32 year-old Belgian fighter holds an 8-2 MMA record and arrives in the UFC off the back of a three-fight winning streak, two of which came in the Invicta FC promotion against Megan Anderson and Jessamyn Duke.
Other notable wins for ‘Battlecat’ in her seven year MMA career to date include a debut win over former Strikeforce champion Marloes Coenen and a TKO victory over kickboxing star Jorina Baars (who hold a muay thai win over Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino).
So, Dandois is unlikely to be overawed by her UFC debut, but she is facing a tough opponent in Davis, who is looking to bounce back from a submission loss to Sara McMann in December of last year.
That had been Davis’ first fight back after her pregnancy and was the second loss of his six-fight stint in the UFC, with her only other loss in the Octagon being against Ronda Rousey in a title fight in 2014.
Davis Vs Dandois joins a UFC Fight Night 108 card that’s set to be headlined by a featherweight match-up between Cub Swanson and Artem Lobov, with Al Iaquinta Vs Diego Sanchez serving as the co-main event.
