Less than favorable omments made by Conor McGregor about the WWE at the UFC 202 media call last week angered fans of the pro-wrestling organization and has led to a war of words between ‘The Notorious’ and some of it’s lycra-clad stars.
“For the most part, those WWE guys are pussies,” McGregor had stated on the media call for his upcoming rematch with Nate Diaz on August 20th. “They’re messed up pussies, if you ask me.
“Fair play to Brock, he got in and fought but, at the end of the day, he’s juiced up to the f—— eyeballs. How can I respect that?
After being bombarded on social media with abuse from WWE fans, McGregor penned a response on social media that took the trash talking to the next level.
“I didn’t mean no disrespect to the @wwe fans,” McGregor claimed on Twitter. “What I meant to say was that I’d slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday’s.”
Naturally that caught the attention of a number of WWE’s biggest stars who were quick to respond in kind.
“Coming from a guy who built a career copying my persona, I expected the type of class we get from Ronda or Anderson. After Diaz finishes you again, I dare you to try guys like Dolph, Brock, or Fit. Oh you’re welcome for your gimmick” — Ric Flair
