Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series S2 Week 5 Results

Below you’ll find all the results from last night’s Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series Season 2 episode 5.

On this occasion three fighters emerged with UFC contracts, and among them was headline Maycee Barber, who left it late to defeat Jamie Colleen.

The 20-year-old strawweight used her grappling advantage to good effect during the fight and after getting Colleen to the mat in the final round was able to work her ground and pound, with elbow strikes finally bringing the stoppage in the final minute of the fight.

Meanwhile, co-main event winner Domingo Pilarte also earned a UFC contract after a submission victory over Vince Morales.

Both fighters had their moments in a hard-hitting first round, and Pilarte was again hurt early in the second, but rallied by catching a Morales kick and taking him to the mat, before choking him unconscious via rear-naked choke.

Also securing a chance to fight in the UFC was Edmen Shahbazyan who fought Antonio Jones in the episode’s opener.

Shahbazyan was ruthless from the opening bell, getting Jones in a muay thai clinch and then landing big knees, before follow-up punches led to a TKO finish in just 40 seconds.
