Demian Maia Swiftly Taps Out Lyman Good At UFC On ESPN +2

Demian Maia returned to form with a quick submission win over Lyman Good tonight at UFC On ESPN+ 2 in Brazil.

Round One:

Maia backing Good up early and then goes for the takedown. Good defends it at first but then drops to the mat. He immediately gets straight up, but is then taken back down again.

Good against the cage and trying to stand. He’s successful, but then Maia gets his back and hops on-board. Maia trying to sink in the arm under the chin. Good defending successfully for now, but this is a really bad spot for him against the BJJ ace.

Half the round remaining as Good continues to bear Maia’s weight while also trying to fend off his attempts to get that arm under the neck.

However, it’s really hard to continue doing that against someone of Maia’s caliber and as the Brazilian cranks hard on a rear-naked choke attempt, Good is forced to tap out at 2.38mins of the first round!
