Denis Gomes earned the biggest win of her career so far tonight at UFC Fight Night 286 in Shanghai by KO’ing Yan Xiaonan with a thunderous elbow strike and clean follow-up punches.

Round One

Yan immediately working a couple of low kicks. Now a straight right. She moves nicely away from a leg kick from Gomes.

Inside leg kick for Gomes. Oblique kick from Yan and another side kick up high too.

Gomes closes the distance with a flurry. she lands a good right hand after that.

Leg kick for Yan, but might have hurt her foot a bit there. One-two lands well for Gomes and then a glancing head kick, but Yan seems ok.

Yan fires off a side kick to maintain distance. Jab for Yan. Solid right hand for her. Overhand right from Gomes.

Hard one-two for Yan. Yan clinches up after Gomes misses a punch, then punches her way back out soon after.

Three-piece combo for Yan. Yan steps forward purposefully, straight into a powerful elbow from Gomes that collapses her straight down to the canvas, with an uppercut and two hooks following for good measure to seal a stunning KO victory at 4:49mins of the opening round!
