After a nervy first few minutes, Dricus Du Plessis settled down and sealed his UFC debut with a first round KO victory over Markus Perez tonight on Fight Island.
Round One:

Outside leg kick from Perez. Inside leg kick from Du Plessis. Brief flurry of punches from him. left hand from Perez.
Inside leg kick for Perez. Checked kick for him. Du Plessis looking for a kick that’s caught by Perez and then lands a counter.
Straight right for Perez. Low kick for Du Plessis and partially connects with a right hand behind it.
Body kick from Du Plessis as he marauds forward, then he lands a hook as Perez appeared to be trying an upwards elbow over and it sends Perez slumping face first to the mat, with follow-up punches sealing the KO finish at 3.22mins of the first round.
