Dustin Stoltzfus KO’s Marc-André Barriault In 1st Round At UFC Fight Night 246

Dustin Stoltzfus shocked Marc-Andre Barriault tonight at UFC Fight Night 246 by landing a KO punch as they engaged in a brawl late in the first round.

Round One:

Barriault swings and mmisses with a big right hand. Calf kick from Stolzfus knocks Barriault off-balance to the mat and then he immediately snatches on a potential guillotine choke.

Stolztfus not committing to the choke, but gladly getting in top here early in the opening minute. Stoltzfus patient in a high half-guard here.

Half the round remaining and Barriault gradually works over to the cage and is looking for an opportunity to stand. Stoltzfus threatening with a potential d’arce choke set-up. Barriault gets free of that, but is now flat on his back again with Stoltzfus in half-guard.

Grinding work from Stoltzfus on top and passes to full guard. Barriault instantly uses the cage to transition and escape to his feet though.

Barriault immediately looking to throw down at close quarters here as he goes for a knee and punches behind it. However Stoltzfus doesn’t back down and instead starts unleashing too, firing off a few short hooks, before a right hook lands clean to the jaw and floors Barriault! Stoltzfus follows him down to land a few final blows to seal a big KO victory at 4.28mins of the opening round.
