Frank Mir KO’s Antonio Silva In Under 2 Minutes At UFC Fight Night 61

Former heavyweight champion Frank Mir proved he’s still a threat tonight in the main event of UFC Fight Night 61 with a knockout victory against Antonio Silva in under two minutes.

Round One:

The main event of the evening is underway. The two cautiously moving around each other with Mir occasionally pawing out with the jab.

Mir lets go with a combination that backs up Silva. Silva lands a leg kick. Mir working behind the jab. Silva with another kick. And another.

Suddenly a left jab followed by a big left hook from Mir and it topples Silva to the canvas! Mir follows him down and blasts him with a series of punches, switching it up to elbows to seal the deal. Mir gets a quick KO victory after just 100 seconds of action.

That’s Mir’s first victory in four fights which will come as a big relief to him after taking a year out, while Silva has now lost two fights in a row by first round KO which will surely be a real concern for the 35 year-old.
