George Sotiropoulos And Ross Pearson To Coach TUF: Australia Vs UK

The UFC have announced that Australia’s George Sotiropoulos and the UK’s Ross Pearson will be the team coaches for the new Ultimate Fighter: Australia Vs UK show which has just started filming down under.

Both Sotiropoulos and Pearson made their way into the UFC via the TUF show. Sotiropoulos progressed to the semi-finals of season six, and has since gone on to be a major presence in the UFC’s lightweight division, going 7-2 in the process.

Meanwhile Pearson won season nine of the show and has produced a 5-3 record since fighting mainly in the lightweight division before recently switching down to featherweight.

Traditionally the TUF coaches fight after the conclusion of the show, but with the two men on this occasion currently competing in separate division’s it’s not clear if that’s still going to be the case on this occasion.

TUF: Australia Vs UK is the second ‘international’ edition of the long-running series with the first being ‘TUF: Brazil’. A new season of the main Ultimate Fighter on FX show is also in the works and the coaches for that are expected to be announced soon.

Ross launched MMA Insight (previously FightOfTheNight.com) in 2009 as a way to channel his passion for the sport of mixed martial arts. He's since penned countless news stories and live fight reports along with dozens of feature articles as the lead writer for the site, reaching millions of fans in the process.
