Ian McCall Gets New Opponent For UFC 208

Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall has a new opponent for UFC 208 on February 11th in Brooklyn, New York after suffering his fifth fight cancelation in a row when Neil Seery pulled out due to the death of his mother-in-law.

Now McCall will be facing the 23 year-old Jarred Brooks, who’ll step in on short notice to make his UFC debut against the veteran fighter.

Brooks brings a perfect 11-0 record to the Octagon and has had brief stints with the likes of WSOF and Pancrase in his two and a half career to date.

He’s never faced anyone of McCall’s caliber however, with the 32 year-old being an experienced campaigner who has already fought many of the best the flyweight division has to offer during his 13-5-1 MMA career.

Injuries have hampered McCall’s time in the UFC however and so to put things in perspective he’s only managed to fight twice in the space of Brooks entire 11 fight pro campaign.

In fact, McCall appeared to have made his mind up to retire in 2015 due to his injury woes, but he’s since decided to give the sport one last try.

With McCall Vs Brooks now set, UFC 208 proceeds with a card that will be headlined by the promotion’s first ever woman’s featherweight title fight between Holly Holm and Germaine De Randamie, with Anderson Silva fighting Derek Brunson in the co-main event.
