Invicta FC 14 Results

invicta FC 14 took place last night in Kansas City and we’ve got all the results for you below.

In the main event Tonya Evinger emerged victorious with a second record TKO stoppage against Pannie Kianzad.

The bout was supposed to see Evinger defending her bantamweight title, but Kianzad failed to make weight which downgraded to a non-title affair. Still, Evinger showed why she’s the champion as she beat-up Kianzad with large doses of ground and pound in the first and second rounds, eventually finishing her with a barrage of strikes from full mount.

Former Invicta champion Katja Kankaanpaa suffered another defeat in somewhat controversial fashion as she looked to be the busier, more aggressive fighter against DeAnna Bennett yet came out on the wrong end of a unanimous decision ruling (29-28 x3) in Bennett’s favor.

Elsewhere Roxanne Modafferi was able to use her superior ground skills to control her fight with Mariana Morais, frequently managing to work her way to full mount which paid off for her late in the third round when she then unleashed a series of ground and pound strikes to force the TKO stoppage.
