It was a night of decisions at Invicta FC 9 yesterday on the UFC Fight Pass service with just one of the 9 fights ending inside the distance.
Flyweight champion Barb Honchak successfully defending her title in the main event with a comfortable unanimous decision vicory against Takayo Hashi using her wrestling to essentially shut down her opponent for much of the fight and grind out the win.
In the co-main event Karolina Kowalkiewicz earned a split decision victory (29-28 x2, 28-29) against Mizuki Inoue in a competitive strawweight encounter that went back and forth on the feet.
One fight earlier Raquel Pa’aluhi produced a surprise unanimous decision win (29-28 x3) against veteran Kaitlin Young despite coming in on just eight days notice.
