Jasmine Jasudavicius was able to catch Ariane Lipski in a d’arce choke to deliver a finish in the third round of their fight this evening at UFC Fight Night 246.

Round One:

Cautious opening minute as Lipski feels out with the occasional strike wile still out of range and Jasudavicius ust watches on.

Brief flurry of strikes at close quarters finally breaks the deadlock and Lipski got the better of that.

Significant series of punches to the body and head land for Lipski. Body kick for her. Head kick attempt from Jasudavicius is blocked.

Jasudavicius thinks about a takedown, but Lipski was waiting to try to stuff it if she’d committed to it.

Not a whole lot happening so far. Knee strike in close from Lipski and a punch from Lipski. Lipski with a few straight punches.

Hard one-two for Lipski. Head kick attempt from her, but Jasudavicius catches it and uses that to work a takedown. Jasudavicius in half-guard here. Lipski trying to work her way out, but Jasudavicius adjusts to stay on top and lands some ground-and-pound before the round ends.

Round Two:

inside low kick from Lipski. Three-piece combo for her. Lipski tries to work to the body but comes up short. Kick from Jasudavicius. Solid right hand from Lipski.

Jasudavicius in on a takedown in the center of the Octagon and lands it comfortably. She’s in side control and remains there when Lipski attempts to scramble out.

Jasudavicius working for a crucifix now. She gives up on that and is back to half-guard now. Body punches and then a few to the head from Jasudavicius. She’d like to pass here, and eventually gets her leg free to work to mount. Lipski brings her back to half-guard, but Jasudavicius is now unleashing repeated short elbows to the head.

Lipski giving her back up as she goes to her knees. Jasudavicius blasting her with elbows, but it’s not quite enough to force the ref to wave off the fight and so Lipski survives until the end of the round.

Round Three:

Jasudavicius tries to get in on a takedown, but Lipski fights her off for now. Right hand gets through for Lipski.

Lipski misses punches and that enables Jasudavicius to get in and lands a takedown. Jasudavicius in half-guard again. Body-head combos from Jasudavicius.

LIpski goes to her knees and Jasudavicius sees an opportunity to work for a d’arce choke. It’s in tight and it’s not long before Lipski is forced to tap out at 2.28mins of Rd3.
