Jon Jones Claims Bill Cosby Is ‘A Class Act’ Amidst Rape Allegations

Bill Cosby is currently under fire as women from his past come forward with rape allegations on a daily basis at the moment, but he’s found an unlikely defender in the form of UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

When Jones was asked by the TMZ site whether he thought Cosby was guilty of the alleged incidents he said that he, “loved Bill Cosby” and was convinced that the legendary TV star and comedian is innocent.

“Nah, I don’t think Bill Cosby would do that. I’ve never met him, but from what I’ve seen he seems to be a class act,” Jones said.

“I kinda grew up admiring him as a black actor. I really hope that’s not true. He’s Bill Cosby, he shouldn’t have to take it, they should be…”

Jones enters the fray at a time when at least 15 women have now come forward to allege that they were raped by Cosby years ago when he was at the height of his fame, with many sharing similar stories alleging that Cosby gave them pills before taking advantage of them.

Meanwhile Netflix have cancelled his upcoming comedy stand-up special, NBC have scrapped a sitcom he had in development and TV Land have pulled all re-runs of ‘The Cosby Show’ from their schedule.

As for Jones, he’s currently in training for his next 205lb title defense against Daniel Cormier at UFC 183 on January 3rd, and perhaps would be best only answering questions about that the next time TMZ come calling.
