Jon Jones took to Instagram today to post a video showing him receiving stitches to a deep cut above his left eye which presumably came in training for his next light-heavyweight title defense against Daniel Cormier at UFC 178.
Thankfully the event on is still a couple of months away on September 27th in Las Vegas, so while there’s no official word yet, the hope will be that he’ll have time to heal up and the fight will go ahead as scheduled.
Over the course of the past few weeks fight fans mouths have been watering as UFC 178 has evolved into the most stacked line-up of the year, but Jones Vs Cormier is still very much the jewel in it’s crown, so let’s hope there’s no further mishaps in the coming weeks that would put the bout in jeopardy.
